Here are a few of many articles supporting the use of Covid-19 vaccines on pregnant women. The article in Reuters is used to fact-check some retired Pfizer VP, and Reuters cites this article from the UK's government, which states:
"Real-world data from the United States shows that around 90,000 pregnant women have been vaccinated, mainly with mRNA vaccines including Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, without any safety concerns being raised."
90,000, huh? That's impressive, I had no idea we had conducted so many studies on pregnant women who received a Covid-19 vaccine. Let's check it out!

Here is the CDC article referenced in the UK which is referenced in Reuters. The CDC created a program called the "v-safe" registry, wherein eligible pregnant women can register after being vaccinated, and eventually some CDC staff will follow-up with them about how their pregnancy progressed following the Covid-19 vaccine.
As of late July, 139,562 women had been registered in the v-safe database. Of those women who registered 5,104 had been contacted by CDC staff to report on their pregnancies.
Ok, wow. That's not at all in line with what the UK article said. So we're basing the recommendation for pregnant women to get vaccinated on information collected from around 5,100 women. Well, what does the little information we have say?

3) Woah, ok. This New England Journal of Medicine article is from February 2021, and at that time the v-safe program had only followed up with 3,958 pregnant women. We've come a long way from 90,000. So now these recommendations are based phone calls to less than 4,000 women. Well what happened with THESE women?
"Among 3958 participants enrolled in the v-safe pregnancy registry, 827 had a completed pregnancy, of which 115 (13.9%) resulted in a pregnancy loss and 712 (86.1%) resulted in a live birth (mostly among participants with vaccination in the third trimester). Adverse neonatal outcomes included preterm birth (in 9.4%) and small size for gestational age (in 3.2%); no neonatal deaths were reported. Although not directly comparable, calculated proportions of adverse pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in persons vaccinated against Covid-19 who had a completed pregnancy were similar to incidences reported in studies involving pregnant women that were conducted before the Covid-19 pandemic. Among 221 pregnancy-related adverse events reported to the VAERS, the most frequently reported event was spontaneous abortion (46 cases)."
Alright, help me out here. Are they saying that of the 3,958 women they initially contacted for the registry, only 827 of them actually completed pregnancy, i.e. provided relevant data to the study? Did the others get abortions, or are were they still pregnant once contacted, and thus we don't have the information yet? I don't get it. Either way, of those 827, 14% miscarried. The 86% who did give birth were vaccinated in the 3rd trimester, so what's the breakdown of vaccinations leading to miscarriages or other complications in the 2nd or 3rd trimester? What the hell is going on here?
I already checked, and 14% miscarriage rate is well above the average for a healthy woman's pregnancy. So that's already screwed. I'm just at a loss, as I lack the medical expertise to know if I'm actually understanding this data correctly. As it stands, it seems to me like at best these recommendations are based on phone calls with 827 women, with no controlling for trimester or other health factors, of which there was an above average percentage of miscarriages as proportional to the national average.
Any help sorting this out would be appreciated. I just want to know what's true.
While driving yesterday, I had an idea to help facilitate more regular content creation, especially during this time when it is all but impossible to make videos outside of livestreams from my phone. The idea is that of a biweekly post that roughly takes the form of a newsletter, of which this is shall be the first volume. As an aside, evidently a synonym for biweekly is 'fortnightly,' which I'd totally use if it weren't for the association with a game of stupid dances.
My current plan for the format is as follows, though obviously this is likely to change.

I know it's been quiet here lately. I'll eventually explain what's been going on with my personal life (most of it has been a mixture of our new baby being really, really difficult, and perpetual sickness. For example, last week three our of the four of us had to go to the hospital) but this is what has consumed virtually all free time outside of work and family time.
Please consider helping us bring justice to these bastards. Their indifference and complicity in the harm done to these kids has to stop. Please help us make that happen.

I've been wanting to do this for a while. It might have taken me two days to figure out how to get this from my phone to my computer, but I finally got it to work.
On Saturday, I used the voice recorder app on my phone to record a podcast covering Karl Schmitt, his discussions of power, and how we can map this onto our contemporary situation with The Regime that runs our country, and the Bureaucratic State which does its ideological bidding.
After listening to it, I realize there is some more context I need to add to the ending, so I might record another one tomorrow or Wednesday. Either way, it feels good to be recording stuff again. As always, I welcome your thoughts and feedback!
